Welcome

Hi, I'm one of the Admins and reviewers over at www.outpostskaro.com

Its a big friendly place full of Doctor Who fans. ( but nice ones that don't foam at the mouth)

The website that I run, www.outpostskaro.com, is looking to bring in some more staff. We have been growing for a while and we also have some staff moving on ( we didn't assassinate them no matter what people tell you. Those brakes were waiting to fail!!!! erm... right sorry). Plus every couple of years we try to shake up the staff to keep things fresh. New faces mean new ideas.

If you have ever wanted to review stuff, take part in podcasts, be a forum mod( its a very friendly forum) or even help out tinkering with the back end then this is the perfect time to throw your name into the hat. While we are mainly a doctor who forum we cover a lot of other sci fi and horror content that has a Doctor Who connection. But it would help if you like Doctor Who as we do talk about it a lot.

The only restriction is that you need to become a member. No, I'm not about to ask you to whip our your visa card or give your bank details. Membership is and will always be free and it only takes minutes. Plus it also gives you access to some forum exclusive content like Doctor Who or Torchwood reviews before the show is broadcast.

Actually there is one other restriction, you must be over 18. I know, I know. Doctor Who is a family show. Well we're all big kids on the staff but for legal reasons ( such as signing NDAs and the various data protection laws) we need staff to be over 18.

Well so long and thanks for all the fish. Not for me, no you won't get rid of me that easily.

Long time reviewer, inspiration for the original outpost skaro ( we're into version 2 for anyone keeping count) and interviewer extraordinaire Eddie Mcguigan told me today that he's stepping back for a bit. While he is a much loved part of the community over at OutpostSkaro he's been gradually reducing his role for a while.

Real life is taking it up a few notches for him and he's in for an exciting few years, doing something he really enjoys. Those who know him will know what this is and means but I'm afraid I'll have to be vague ( I don't want to feed the trolls).

Sadly this means less time and something had to give. He'll no doubt drop in from time to time. And I understand that he has one final (HUGE) trick up his sleeve before he wanders off into the sunset, searching for burning skys, smoke people, song cities and unlimited rice pudding.
While recording a recent podcast I was pointed at this. The Seventh Doctor performing the Pandorica speech from S5.

Gives me shivers. Same speach but very much the Sly we know and love. 11 Doc's, all of them great and groovy in their own ways.
